Hello Everyone , Cyber Terrorism is a threat that can bring destruction in many ways to societies worldwide and not just the United States . The United States has shown that we have security procedures in place to prevent an attack on critical infrastructures from environmental to financial but a simple talented software hacker can easily navigate through these defenses gaining access to personal information , financial records as well as controls to that operate our greatest needed infrastructures . On an individual level , we are threatened by Identity theft , financial hardship and even threat of life . Identity theft can not only impact someone financially but socially and medically as well . A person committing identity theft can use a person ‘s social status on social media to create a mass panic . A simple posting from someone who has had their identity stolen sharing the love of terrorism , anti- America or anything that would reflect negatively on them . It sounds minor but what if there was a social media site say Facebook where someone hacked or made another profile using your name , personal information and pictures to recruit or promote terrorism . This is something that no one would want conducted on oneself because it can lead to that person being targeted . Individually identity theft could bankrupt an individual causing such a financial hardship making it impossible or take years to recover from minimally . On the level of the United States , the attack level is on an economical level threatening infrastructures like energy or transportation that affect us all tremendously . An attack on our financial infrastructure as Wall Street could weaken our currency that would lower our dollar to a lessor value . This would promote the nation to seek foreign aid increasing our nation ‘s debt to increasing where our worth would belong to them to control . Another view is that a cyberattack on one of our sixteen ( 16 ) infrastructures as example transportation would stop our economy tremendously for slowing production of food to feed a large population as well as movement of goods needed to survive in certain parts of the country that can not produce on their own .
