Before I started this course , no one could tell me anything negative about Steve Jobs . I believed he was an amazing entrepreneur , who cared about his people . Like most human beings , Steve Jobs had many great qualities , however he fell short in a few areas . After reading the article , my opinion about Steve Jobs changed . He didn ‘ t care about his people or those around him . Pardon my French , but I would say he was a total jerk . ” Some suggested that a highly production oriented , authoritarian leader such as Steve Jobs at Apple Inc . created a highly stressful environment that tended to burn out even the most diligent employees ” Baack , 2017 , ch 8.2 . If someone working for me books a room at a 5-Star hotel , I ‘ m making it my business to enjoy every minute of it . Treating people the way you want to be treated isn ‘ t something Steve Jobs believed in , because the people he interacted with on a daily basis were treated less than kind or appreciated . You just don ‘ t treat people like crap and think it ‘ s okay because it ‘ s not . You don ‘ t tear people down and expect positive results in return . I would say I am a rejector because I don ‘ t agree with the way Steve Jobs treated people and I am the type of person who has a heart and I am compassionate towards others . ” The second camp is what you might call the rejectors . These are entrepreneurs who , on reading about Jobs since his death , have recoiled from the total picture of the man—not just his treatment of employees but the dictatorial , uncompromising way that he approached life ” Austen , 2012 . After reading more about his character and about the type of person he was , I reject everything about him . Abandoning a child is wrong on so many levels and says a lot about a person .
