As a first responder , my concerns would be getting as many people to safety as possible , because I do n’t know what type of attack it is . I would gather as many people together as I can and put them in a safe environment until I get information about the kind of attack it was . You have to understand that people first instinct is to run for cover . When everyone is running with no sense of direction , it can make things worse . People could be moving in the direction of another attack and not even know it . This is where my training as a first responder would kick in . I would make sure that everyone is in a safe place and I would proceed to the scene and carry out my duties as a first responder . I would secure the crime scene and assist other first responders by preserving evidence .
