JUS655 Topic 2 Assignment, Bail

In today’s justice system it is important to understand the concepts of bail and how it applies to millions of inmates in the jail and prison system. Majority of the time bail amounts for defendants are set by judges or attorneys. Most of the time bail is set so high that some social classes can t afford it. Also, it is important to understand why bail is set in the first place for defendants. The meaning of bail is a temporary release of an individual back into society. However, the prisoner’s appearance will be a later date in front of a judge. Bail is usually set as a pre-trial restriction that are imposed on a suspect to ensure that they comply with the judicial process. Throughout this paper, will address the following elements of being a consultant for a local justice court. This includes the components of the consulting process, consulting best practices, and the approaches when working with stakeholders
