Do you believe that removing firearms from otherwise lawful citizens reduces the opportunity for crime?
My take is that any tool can amount to criminal item used to do n illegal act, a gun not being an exception. Therefore, as long as a person has the intent to commit a crime, he or she will use any tool available to ensure the actual act is committed. It is for this reason that we see people using blunt objects, sharp objects and even their own hands to commit an offense. Criminals use firearms no doubt but if the firearms are removed from the otherwise lawful citizens, the criminals will definitely resort to another tool. Hence, my take is that removing firearms from otherwise lawful citizens will not reduce the opportunity for crime.
Do you believe that gun laws will remove access to firearms by criminals?
Firearms have been accessible to many criminals who obtain them illegally. Therefore, my take is that is their are stricter gun laws in the country, access to these firearms by criminals will be limited as the measures placed will have to be put in place
