CJ330 M1D2: Court Processes and Outcomes
Your American Courts text (pp. 10-16) explains court processes and outcomes at all levels of the court system in three broad categories: legal perspective, personal perspective and environmental perspective. An evaluation of these processes and perspectives is the subject of this discussion activity.
In your initial post explain (i) the difference between the three perspectives and (ii) which perspective you believe has the most influence on court processes and outcomes. Then, read through your classmates’ posts and decide on at least two to respond to, either seeking or providing clarification of points made therein.
All initial post are due on Thursday. Replies are due Sunday by 11:59PM.
Consult the Discussion Posting Guide for information about writing your discussion posts. It is recommended that you write your post in a document first. Check your work and correct any spelling or grammatical errors.
This is a "post first” discussion forum, which means you must submit your initial post before you can view other students’ posts.
When you are ready to make your initial post, click on "Reply." Then copy/paste the text into the message field, and click "Post Reply.”
To respond to a peer, click "Reply” beneath her or his post and continue as with an initial post.
